Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price to ₦1,125 Per Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of premium motor spirit (petrol) from ₦1,175 per litre to ₦1,125 per litre, effective from 12:00 AM on June 25, 2026. This decision follows a decline in global crude oil prices, attributed to easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The refinery also adjusted its coastal supply price from ₦1,495 to ₦1,428 per metric ton. The company stated that the price reduction reflects current market realities and its commitment to ensuring stable energy supply across Nigeria and Africa.

Additionally, the refinery addressed misleading reports circulating about its pricing policies, emphasizing its long-standing policy to avoid responding to unsubstantiated claims. The latest price adjustment is expected to influence retail petrol prices nationwide as the market adapts to the new ex-depot rate.
