The naira appreciated against the US dollar in the official market on October 6, 2026, closing at N1,330.87 per dollar. Forex turnover surged by 334.8% to $313.545 million, attributed to increased crude oil production and foreign investments.

The Nigerian naira appreciated against the US dollar, trading at N1,330.8745 at the Central Bank of Nigeria's official FX window on October 6th, 2026. The black market rates for the naira were N1,360 for buying and N1,370 for selling.
