11 Killed, 9 Injured in Jigawa Auto Crash: Preliminary Investigation Reveals Tire Burst as Cause

In Jigawa state, 11 individuals lost their lives and 9 sustained injuries in a fatal auto crash involving a red Golf 3 saloon car. The incident occurred in Bagewu village along the Ringim axis, with the vehicle carrying 20 passengers from various villages in Bauchi and Katsina states.

The driver, a 45-year-old man from Randawa village in Katsina, reportedly lost control after a front tire burst, leading to the collision with a tree. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Authorities have warned motorists against speeding and overloading, emphasizing the importance of roadworthy vehicles.
