Adetunji Oyebanji Retires as 11Plc MD After 45 Years

Adetunji Oyebanji, the Managing Director of 11Plc, has announced his retirement effective March 31, 2026, after 45 years of dedicated service in the oil and gas industry. His retirement notice was communicated through a filing with NASD Plc on March 3, 2026.

Oyebanji joined Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc in 1980 and has held various leadership positions, including Market Representative Trainee, District Manager, and Executive Director of Fuel. He became the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of 11Plc in April 2017, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Under his leadership, the company experienced substantial transformation and growth. Oyebanji has also played a vital role in the broader oil and gas sector, serving as the past chairman of the Major Energy Market Association and the Nigerian Petroleum Downstream Group.

His career extended internationally, with roles in Mobil Oil's headquarters in Virginia and leadership positions in Cameroon and Ethiopia. The board of 11Plc expressed gratitude for his invaluable contributions and wished him well in his future endeavors.
