NOUN to Graduate 24,575 Students at 15th Convocation

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is set to hold its 15th convocation ceremony on April 18, 2026, where it will graduate a total of 24,575 students. This figure includes 17,474 undergraduates and 5,282 postgraduate students, with 31 students earning PhDs.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, announced these details during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

The convocation will also feature a lecture by former Attorney General Kanu Agabi, addressing the theme "Nigeria Against Corruption." Prof. Uduma highlighted that this convocation marks the highest number of graduates in the university's history.

He emphasized the institution's commitment to building capacity through open distance learning, asserting that education should restore dignity and hope, especially for inmates in correctional centers. The university aims to be a guiding light in education, extending its reach beyond Nigeria to Africa and beyond.
