Two Arrested in Oyo for 62-Year-Old Woman's Murder

The Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspects, Muham Sanusi, aged 42, and Ogbu Jame Ajah, aged 40, in connection with the murder of a 62-year-old woman. The incident occurred in the Ori Apata area of Ido, Ibadan.

A good Samaritan reported the discovery of the woman's lifeless body, which was found in a bush path, lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts to the neck. Preliminary investigations indicated that the body had been there for at least seven days prior to its discovery.

Following the report, police detectives promptly visited the scene, leading to the arrest of the two suspects, who are currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend any accomplices linked to the crime.

The body has been evacuated to the morgue at Adeoyo General Hospital for autopsy and post-mortem examination to determine the actual cause of death. The crime scene has been sealed off for forensic experts to gather necessary evidence.
