Police Arrest Two Suspects in Ibadan Woman's Murder

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to the murder of a 62-year-old woman in the Ori Apata area of Ido Local Government, Ibadan. The deceased was reported missing while gathering vegetables and was later found dead in a bush on Wednesday, with deep cuts on her neck.

DSP Ayanlad Olayinka confirmed that the police discovered the woman's lifeless body, which had been located at least seven days prior to its discovery. Following the incident, the police deployed personnel to the scene, and the suspects are currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as investigations continue.

The situation led to protests from family members and sympathizers within the community, prompting the intervention of the Division Police Officer (DPO) of Ido Division and the State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, who ordered the deployment of additional police personnel to maintain public order and reassure residents of their safety.
