Speaking on TNT Sport, Gerrard expressed his belief that Kane, who is also the England captain, should win the prestigious individual award due to his exceptional performances.

Gerrard highlighted Kane's previous achievements and suggested that if he adds a medal at the end of the season, it would significantly bolster his case for the award. He emphasized that Kane's success with the England national team in upcoming tournaments would further strengthen his candidacy.
