Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas Win 2026 Ballon d'Or Awards

At the 2026 Ballon d'Or awards held on October 26 at the London Palladium, Harry Kane of Bayern Munich and England was named the men's Ballon d'Or winner, while Alexia Putellas of Barcelona and Spain topped the women's rankings. This marked the first time the ceremony took place outside Paris since its inception.

Hosted by sports broadcaster Kate Scott and former France international Thierry Henry, the event recognized outstanding performances in football. Kane scored 61 goals in 51 appearances for Bayern Munich during the 2025/26 season, including 36 in the Bundesliga, and added 12 goals for England, totaling 73 goals in 65 appearances.

The men's rankings included notable players such as Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, and Lionel Messi, among others, who had significant contributions to their clubs and national teams during the season.
