2026 Ballon d'Or Nominees: Ronaldo and Others Omitted

France Football announced the 30-man shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d'Or on September 8, with the winner to be revealed at a ceremony in London on October 26. The list includes prominent players such as Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, and Kylian Mbappé, while notable absentees include Cristiano Ronaldo, who has now missed the shortlist for four consecutive years, and Raphinha, who contributed to Barcelona's Spanish league title win but faced injuries.

Other significant omissions are PSG's Désiré Doué, Julián Álvarez, and Bukayo Saka, who played a crucial role in Arsenal's Premier League title victory. The nominations reflect PSG's dominance, contributing around 10 players, compared to LaLiga's seven and the Premier League's four.

The ceremony will crown one of the 30 shortlisted players as the best individual performer of the year.
