Nigeria Unveils Logo and Mascot for 2026 Fencing Championships

The Nigeria Fencing Federation officially unveiled the logo and mascot for the 2026 Commonwealth Fencing Championships, scheduled to take place in Lagos from August 9 to 14, 2026. This prestigious event will be the first Commonwealth fencing championship held on African soil.

The unveiling ceremony took place at Rugby School Lagos, with Adeyinka Samuel, President of the Nigeria Fencing Federation, describing the occasion as a milestone and a moment of pride for the country. He emphasized that Nigeria's successful bid to host the championships, ahead of Australia, is a testament to the nation's rising stature in international fencing.

Rachael Samuel, Vice President of the federation, echoed these sentiments during the press conference, highlighting Nigeria's journey toward the championship. Dr.

Joi Isa, Director of Marketing at Rugby School Lagos, noted that hosting the tournament aligns with the school's vision to mold well-rounded students through sports.
