APC Chieftain Clarifies Decision Not to Contest for National Youth Leader Position

Chukwuebuka Obidike, a former aspirant for the position of APC National Youth Leader, has stated that he has no interest in contesting for the role in the forthcoming 2026 convention. He clarified his stance amid speculations suggesting his preparation to re-enter the race for the influential party seat.

Obidike stressed that he has neither declared nor shown any interest in contesting for the position. He explained that his decision not to contest should not be interpreted as a withdrawal from party activities but rather reflects his personal choice to focus on strengthening his business and continuing to contribute to the party's growth.

Nentaw Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, also mentioned that political appointees in the 2027 general election will be professionals without firm party affiliations, emphasizing the need for merit-based governance. Obidike called on youth within the party to remain constructive and supportive of the APC's leadership.
