Jigawa State Refunds Over N50m to Intending Pilgrims for 2026 Hajj

The Jigawa State Board has refunded over N50 million to intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj, following adjustments in fare costs. The Director-General, Alhaji Ahm Umar Labbo, disclosed this in Duts State capital.

The refund was prompted by the revised cost of N7.6 million for the northern zone, leading to a significant reduction in next year's Hajj slots. The Board is working diligently to secure the best arrangements for pilgrims, with the support of Governor Umar Namadi.

The commitment to a hitch-free Hajj operation in 2026 was reiterated by the Director-General.
