Katsina Governor Radda Sends Off 3,890 Hajj Pilgrims

On Monday, Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State bid farewell to 3,890 intending pilgrims set to depart for the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia. During the official send-off ceremony, he urged the pilgrims to pray for peace, unity, and security in Katsina State and Nigeria.

Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration's commitment to ensuring a smooth coordination of the Hajj operations, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage as one of the five pillars of Islam. He acknowledged the financial challenges that had affected the allocation of Hajj slots and announced that the Katsina State Government would cover the cost of hadaya for the intending pilgrims.

To facilitate this, the state government approved a loan of 3.8 billion naira to secure the total allocation of 3,890 slots for this year's Hajj, demonstrating a commitment to the welfare of the pilgrims.
