Ogun Police Deploy Officers for 2026 UTME Security

In preparation for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Ogun State Police have deployed officers to 72 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across the state. The examination is scheduled to take place from April 16 to April 25, 2026.

DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the public relations officer, confirmed that this deployment is part of a proactive security measure aimed at ensuring a safe, orderly, and credible examination process. The Ogun State Police Command, led by CP Bode O jajuni, has designed an operational plan to guarantee visible police presence, early threat detection, and swift response to security concerns during the examination period.

The police have warned against examination malpractice and disorderly conduct, stating that such actions will result in immediate decisive action, including arrest and prosecution. The police assured residents of robust and proactive security coverage throughout the examination period and urged candidates to strictly adhere to examination guidelines.
