JAMB Delists 23 CBT Centres Ahead of 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the delisting of 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres just days before the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled for April 16, 2026. This decision, communicated by JAMB's public advisor Dr. Fabian Benjamin, follows a comprehensive post-examination review that identified technical deficiencies in the affected centres.

JAMB emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards substandard examination facilities. The delisted centres are located in multiple states, including Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau.

Notably, centres in urban hubs like Abuja and Lagos, including facilities in Maitama and various locations across Ikorodu, Lekki, and Ejigbo, were affected. JAMB's action aims to ensure that all centres meet stringent operational benchmarks, thereby safeguarding the credibility and transparency of the examination process.

The board also warned that a significant number of CBT facilities nationwide must upgrade their systems to avoid similar sanctions in the future.
