Ogun Police Deploy Officers for Safe UTME 2026

The Ogun State Police Command has announced the deployment of officers across 72 accredited computer-based test centers in the state as part of security arrangements for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The examination is scheduled to take place from April 16 to 25, 2026.

Spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi disclosed this information in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the deployment follows proactive intelligence-led security measures aimed at ensuring a safe and orderly examination process. The operational plan is designed to guarantee a visible police presence to detect early threats and respond swiftly to security concerns during the examination period.

The command, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, has heightened operational alertness and will strictly supervise the deployment of personnel while maintaining patrols around examination environments. The command also warned that any attempts to engage in examination malpractice or disorderly conduct would result in swift decisive action, including arrest and prosecution.
