Tragic Accident Claims Lives of 3 Kwara LG Officials

On May 1, 2026, three officials from the Ekiti Local Government Area in Kwara State tragically lost their lives in a road accident while returning from the Workers' Day rally held at the Georg Agbasika Inni Stadium Complex in Ilorin. The accident occurred on a Friday, and six other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries and are currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Prof. Nusirat Elelu, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA), confirmed the incident in a statement released on Saturday.
