Nigeria Prepares for NESI Week 2026 in Abuja

The Nigerian electricity industry is preparing for the NESI Week 2026, scheduled to take place from November 15 to 22 in Abuja. This event aims to bring together key stakeholders across Nigeria's electricity sector, including regulators, utility companies, investors, and technology providers.

The NESI platform will serve as a convergence point for discussions on the future of the electricity supply industry. The event's theme focuses on creating an ecosystem for innovation and sustainability.

Six flagship initiatives will be featured, including the NESI Game, carbon measurement in the electricity sector, a multi-sport event, a CEO policy forum, high-level sector dialogues, and the NESI Expo showcasing emerging technologies. Additionally, the NESI Awards will recognize excellence across the sector, and the NESI Kid program will focus on youth education to develop future energy leaders.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has committed $20 million to partner with NESI Week 2026, emphasizing its role in customer engagement and sector reform.
