Falconets Prepare for U-20 World Cup with Friendlies

Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s National Team, known as the Falconets, is set to play friendly matches against Poland and Korea Republic as part of their preparations for the 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup. The team, led by Coach Moses Aduku, is currently in camp in Abuja, where they have already participated in several friendly matches to assess their readiness.

The Falconets are scheduled to depart for Poland on Monday, August 24, for the final phase of their preparations. These two friendly encounters will allow Coach Aduku to refine his team’s strategies ahead of the World Cup.

Nigeria has been drawn into Group F, alongside Spain, China, and New Caledonia. The Falconets will kick off their World Cup campaign against Spain at the Arena Sosnowiec on Monday, September 7, followed by a match against China at the same venue three days later.

They will conclude their group-stage matches against New Caledonia at the Stadion Miejski ŁKS on Sunday, September 13.
