JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results Amid Candidate Complaints

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on April 20, 2026. The examination, which commenced on April 16, 2026, involved 2.2 million candidates across 966 computer-based test (CBT) centers nationwide.

By April 20, JAMB had released a total of 1,897,692 results, including 1,264,940 results from examinations conducted on Friday and Saturday prior to the release. However, JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, did not disclose the number of candidates whose results were released on that date.

Candidates and their parents expressed dissatisfaction with the board, lamenting their inability to view results despite having paid a fee of N100 for the service. The results are typically accessible through the usual process, but the complaints indicate issues with the system.
