APC Governors Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Re-Election

On Tuesday, a meeting was held in Birin Kebbi, Kebbi State, where twenty first-term governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term. The meeting, hosted by Kebbi Governor Dr.

Nasir Idris, resulted in a communiqué stating that the governors' support for Tinubu is based on his achievements and the necessity of strong leadership. They expressed their commitment to ensuring that the benefits of federal reforms translate to local improvements, particularly in agriculture, food security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

The governors acknowledged the sacrifices made by Nigerians during the current economic adjustments and emphasized the importance of courageous leadership and policies that foster collaboration between federal and state governments. Notably, four governors were absent from the meeting: Umar Bago (Niger), Dikko Radda (Katsina), Bassey Otu (Cross River), and Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers).

The attending governors included Ahmadu Aliyu (Sokoto), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and others.
