APC Governors Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid

On a recent date, fourteen first-term governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened in Birnin Kebbi, hosted by Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi, to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid for a second term. The meeting, which included governors from states such as Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Ondo, Taraba, Delta, Ekiti, Kogi, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, and Plateau, resulted in a communiqué expressing unanimous support for Tinubu's policies.

The governors acknowledged the economic hardships faced by Nigerians and urged citizens to remain patient as the administration's reform policies aim to stabilize the economy, restore public finances, attract investment, and strengthen national security. They emphasized the importance of collaboration between federal and state governments in sustaining ongoing reforms.

Additionally, the communiqué condemned the persistent issues of terrorism, banditry, and attacks on educational institutions, pledging closer cooperation with security agencies to protect lives and property.
