Abia APC Denies Coalition with Otti, Labour Party

The Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially rejected claims of negotiating an alliance with Governor Alex Otti and the Labour Party (LP) ahead of the 2027 general elections. APC state chairman Chijioke Chukwu addressed these allegations on Monday during a stakeholders’ meeting at the APC secretariat in Umuahia, stating that there is no agreement with Otti or the LP, which he referred to as an “unholy alliance.” Chukwu emphasized that he consulted key party leaders and confirmed the absence of any such arrangement.

He also criticized the Otti administration for poor accountability, particularly regarding government contracts and expenditures on school renovations. Chukwu urged APC members to remain loyal and warned against using party tickets as bargaining chips in negotiations with rival parties.

He expressed confidence that the APC would succeed in the 2027 elections, highlighting the party's commitment to good governance and accountability.
