Otti's Performance Key to LP's 2027 Election Strategy

Nwabueze Onwuneme, a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State, asserted that Governor Alex Otti's performance is the party's strongest campaign tool for the 2027 elections, dismissing the necessity for an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC). This statement followed remarks from APC Chairman Hon. Chijioke Chukwu regarding a potential alliance.

Onwuneme emphasized that the people of Abia will evaluate Otti's administration based on its achievements rather than political alliances. He praised some APC members for recognizing Otti's accomplishments despite party differences.

Onwuneme criticized Chukwu's description of Otti as a "tyrant," calling it excessive and detrimental to political discourse. He urged Chukwu to substantiate allegations regarding government contract costs with factual evidence instead of political rhetoric.

Onwuneme concluded that the 2027 election will hinge on the public's assessment of Otti's governance, which he believes has positively transformed Abia's socioeconomic landscape.
