APC Accuses Abia Governor Otti of Underpaying Workers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Alex Otti of Abia State of underpaying civil servants, claiming that they receive far below the approved N70,000 national minimum wage benchmark for monthly salaries. In a letter signed by Uch Aguoru, the APC's Public Secretary in Abia State, the party urged Otti to address unpaid gratuities and pensions.

The APC criticized the delay in implementing a promised increase in monthly allowances for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state, which was announced a year ago. In response, the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State accused the APC of spreading falsehoods about Otti's administration concerning the welfare of civil servants and pensions.

LP spokesperson Iroegbu Emenik Dai stated that pensioners are receiving their monthly pensions and criticized the APC for misunderstanding the governor's administrative procedures and policies.
