Deji Aboderin Announces 2027 House of Reps Candidacy

On Wednesday, Deji Aboderin, a former special assistant to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, announced his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing the Ibadan South East/North East constituency in the 2027 general elections. Aboderin highlighted the need for grassroots development and improvement in the quality of life for constituents, addressing issues such as education, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation.

He expressed his commitment to align with President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda, focusing on mass welfare and social policies. Aboderin criticized the current representation, stating that constituents feel unheard and unrepresented in Abuja.

He also mentioned past electoral challenges, vowing to correct mistakes from previous elections and ensure fair representation. Additionally, he praised Tinubu's reforms in the power sector, particularly the N3.3 trillion payment plan for settling debts owed to power generation companies, aiming to stabilize Nigeria's electricity sector.
