ADC in Adamawa Assures Participation in 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State conducted a stakeholders' engagement meeting in Yola, where party officials, including Muazu Abari and Barrister Shagnah Pwamaddi, urged members to remain resolute and support the party's efforts for the 2027 elections. A communiqué issued at the end of the meeting emphasized that the ADC would field candidates for various electoral positions.

The party called for intensified grassroots engagement and encouraged aspirants to declare their interest in contesting on the ADC platform. The meeting also highlighted the intact leadership of Senator David Mark, who is awaiting a Supreme Court judgment that will allow the party to proceed with electoral activities in line with the Electoral Act.

Mr. Martin Dickson, the party's state public secretary, noted the necessity of the Supreme Court verdict for stakeholders to understand the party's position and strengthen grassroots support.

Additionally, Barrister Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, the chairman of the Adamawa APC, expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court's decision to restore Mark's leadership.
