ADC Confirms Candidates for 2027 Elections Amid Disputes

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of David Mark, has asserted its commitment to field candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This declaration comes amidst a leadership dispute involving Naifu Bala, who has filed a lawsuit against Mark's leadership, seeking to halt its activities.

Despite this legal challenge, which includes an appeal to maintain the status quo, the ADC has emphasized that there are no legal impediments preventing its participation in the elections. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, stated that the ADC is focused on its mission to rescue Nigeria from the perceived failures of the current APC-led government.

The party aims to present credible candidates capable of leading the country and has dismissed claims suggesting it would not produce candidates as unfounded. The ADC is mobilizing Nigerians to oust the current government while ensuring compliance with the electoral act.
