ADC to Contest 2027 Elections Despite Legal Challenges

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), announced that the party will be on the ballot for the 2027 elections despite facing legal challenges. Speaking on Wednesday night, Mark received a briefing from the party's legal team regarding a recent judgment from the Federal High Court in Abuja.

He dismissed concerns about the ongoing litigation and expressed confidence in a favorable outcome. Mark assured that the ADC is prepared to navigate the legal battles within the law.

The Federal High Court, presided over by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, had restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from recognizing the party's state congress organized by a caretaker leadership. The ADC's legal team has already initiated an appeal against this judgment.

Mark emphasized the importance of strengthening confidence among party members as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
