Aliyu Defects to APC, Criticizes ADC's Rescue Plan

Aliyu, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and ally of Atiku Abubakar, has announced her defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). She stated that her decision was influenced by the ADC's failure to present a concrete rescue plan for Nigeria, criticizing the party for not providing viable solutions to the country's political challenges.

Throughout her nearly two-decade engagement in politics, Aliyu has remained loyal to Atiku Abubakar but has become increasingly disillusioned with the ADC's lack of a meaningful development blueprint. She emphasized the need for the opposition to move beyond theatrical criticism and embrace measures for progress.

Aliyu expressed her belief that Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge as the winner of the presidential election in 2027, stating her desire to contribute effectively to national development through the APC.
