Aliyu Defects to APC, Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

Aslam Aliyu, a prominent ally of Atiku Abubakar, has officially resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement released in Abuja, Aliyu declared that there will be "no vacancy in the Presidential Villa until 2031," asserting that Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.

He criticized the opposition parties, labeling their efforts as a "hoax" and claiming they lack a real plan for the country's progress. Aliyu emphasized that the ADC had not provided practical solutions to the nation's issues, focusing instead on criticism of the federal government.

He urged others to join the APC, expressing confidence in Tinubu's leadership and the party's vision for Nigeria. Aliyu's statements reflect a strong belief in Tinubu's re-election prospects, thanking Allah for the anticipated success.
