ADC Suspends Presidential Primary Results Collation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced the suspension of the collation of presidential primary election results late Tuesday, as stated by Ikechi Emenik, the chairman of the presidential primary election committee. The decision was made to allow Muslim party members to celebrate Eid el-Kabir.

Emenik explained that the collation would resume at 8:00 PM on Wednesday. He noted that the postponement was necessary due to challenges in returning to Abuja and to enable party members to participate in religious activities.

As of the announcement, results from 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had already been declared, while results from 12 states, including Borno, Kebbi, Anambra, Abia, Ekiti, Ondo, Gombe, Oyo, Imo, Yobe, Nasarawa, Enugu, Benue, Osun, Adamawa, Kogi, Kano, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, and Zamfara, remained pending.
