2027: Adebayo tackles INEC over failure to sanction campaign defaulters

Former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for failing to sanction political parties that violate campaign regulations ahead of the 2023 general elections. Enelamah, speaking on Arise TV PrimeTime, expressed disappointment in INEC's inaction towards the All Progressives Congress (APC) for flouting campaign rules with impunity.

He emphasized the need for a level playing field in the political landscape and urged for a return to regular order in governance. Enelamah also disagreed with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's praise of President Bola Tinubu for stabilizing Nigeria's economy, arguing that the current economic situation is not as rosy as portrayed.

He criticized the government's handling of economic issues, suggesting a need for a more strategic approach to address challenges such as inflation and unemployment.
