Adebutu Welcomes APC, ADC Defectors to PDP in Ogun

On Tuesday, at the People's Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Abeokuta, Oladipupo Adebutu, the PDP governorship candidate for Ogun State in 2027, received defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Adebutu called on the new members to complete their registration and mobilize others ahead of future elections.

He criticized the current APC-led administration for poor governance and corruption, urging Nigerians to demand accountability. Dr. Sunday Solarin, the PDP Deputy National Organizing Secretary, noted that the wave of defections reflects public dissatisfaction with the APC administration in Ogun State.

High Chief Mustapha Abdulakeem Owolabi, chairman of the Egba Agenda Forum, brought 4,500 defectors from the APC and ADC, expressing confidence that the PDP would gain significant electoral strength in Ogun Central. The event underscored the growing discontent with the current government and the desire for better leadership.
