Vunovolki Returns to PDP for Adamawa Governorship Race

Dr. Mauric Vunovolki announced his return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday, marking a significant shift after his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) just three months prior.

This decision is part of his ambition to run for the governorship of Adamawa State. Vunovolki expressed his belief that the PDP offers an open and inclusive platform that upholds internal democracy and encourages constructive engagement.

He highlighted that during his brief time with the APC, he observed practices that did not align with the democratic values he respects, particularly regarding fairness and transparency within the party's internal processes. Vunovolki has garnered support from 3,000 individuals across the state and has completed registration with the PDP as of April 19, 2026.

He called for collective efforts to build a better future for Adamawa State, focusing on transparency, inclusivity, and expanding opportunities for youth and women.
