Aiyedatiwa Urges APC Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa warned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against actions that could create divisions within the party, emphasizing the need for unity as the 2027 general elections approach. Speaking at the APC Elders Council meeting on Monday, Aiyedatiwa stated that the APC has only one structure in Ondo State and called for members to strengthen their ranks to enhance the party's electoral prospects.

He noted that efforts are underway to reconcile members and prevent the formation of parallel groups within the party, stating, “We don’t want to leave anybody out.” The governor directed the activation of the APC Elders Council across the 18 local government areas of the state to bolster party structures from the grassroots level. He also urged party members to support President Tinubu’s re-election, praising his reforms that have increased resources for state development.

APC State Chairman Kolawole Babatunde and Chairman of the APC Elders Council Senator Nimbe Farukanmi echoed the importance of unity and support for both Aiyedatiwa and Tinubu.
