Ondo APC Elders Call for Unity for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election

The elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State convened a meeting in Akure, where they called for unity among party members to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Mr. Demola Ijabiyi, Chairman of the Elders Forum, stressed the importance of focusing on mobilization, reconciliation, and expanding the President's support base.

He cautioned against divisive mentalities that interpret political developments in terms of personal victories and losses. Ijabiyi highlighted that the campaign for Tinubu's re-election should transcend individual political ambitions and differences within the party.

He noted that the time for local political contests would come later, but the current priority is to ensure a successful campaign for President Tinubu. The elders expressed concern over reactions to the campaign structure announcement and emphasized the need for all party members to channel their efforts toward this collective goal.
