Akpabio Predicts APC Victory in Akwa Ibom for 2027

Godswill Akpabio, a prominent member of the APC, has expressed confidence in a landslide victory for the party in the Essien Udim Local Government Area during the 2027 general elections. Speaking to journalists, Akpabio highlighted the reaffirmed support from traditional rulers and stakeholders for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno.

He emphasized the importance of party unity and the need for newly elected party executives to consolidate their grassroots structures. Akpabio noted that the local government area is expected to deliver a substantial vote base of approximately 180,000 votes, based on current voter registration.

He encouraged participation in the electoral process and praised the peaceful environment in Akwa Ibom State, attributing it to the leadership of Governor Eno. Akpabio's statements reflect a strategic effort to mobilize support ahead of the upcoming elections, reinforcing the APC's position in the region.
