Akpabio Urges South-South APC to Boost Votes for Tinubu

On Wednesday, Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, called on stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region to mobilize and deliver the highest votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. This appeal was made during a zonal congress held in Asaba, Delta State, attended by six governors from the oil-rich region.

Akpabio expressed appreciation for Tinubu's leadership and noted the long-overdue recognition of the South-South zone. He highlighted the APC's growth in the region, attributing recent political gains to strategic leadership and unity within the party.

Akpabio urged party members to remain resolute and focused on achieving their electoral goals, emphasizing that the South-South must not lag behind in political prominence. The congress also saw the election of new zonal executive council members, including Victor Giadom as vice chairman, reflecting a consensus arrangement among party leaders.
