Labour Party to Support Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

In an interview with New Central on Thursday, Arabambi, the South West Vice Chairman of the Labour Party, disclosed that the party will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027. This support includes backing from Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State.

Arabambi emphasized that the party's leadership is aligned with this decision, which is designed to allow the South West to complete its eight-year presidential cycle. He dismissed any potential for the party's former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to secure the 2027 presidential ticket with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that Obi's chances are not viable.
