Alkali Disowns PDP, Focuses on APC for 2027 Elections

Prof. Rufai Ahm Alkali, serving as the chairman rapporteur of the sub-committee at the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention, publicly disowned the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in a statement issued on Sunday.

He clarified that he resigned from the PDP nearly ten years ago and is now focused on ensuring the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections. Alkali described any images or claims suggesting his association with the PDP as fake and a product of malicious intent.

He urged the public to disregard these misleading narratives, emphasizing that they are part of a calculated attempt to create confusion. The APC's national convention took place on March 27, 2026, at Eagle Square in Abuja, where Alkali worked alongside dedicated members to ensure its success.

He reassured that no amount of mischief or blackmail would distract the party from its goals, particularly a special project named "Tinubu 2 Term Forward Nigeria 2027," which is set to be unveiled in the near future.
