Prophet Uzukwu Warns of Plot Against Peter Obi for 2027

On Wednesday, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu, the Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach in Nnewi, Anambra State, raised concerns about an alleged plot to undermine Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election. Uzukwu urged Obi and his team to bolster security measures, citing fears from the "powers that be" regarding Obi's increasing popularity across Nigeria.

He mentioned a proposed Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, allegedly orchestrated by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which he claimed has disrupted existing political dynamics. Uzukwu cautioned Igbo politicians against compromising their integrity for a potential vice presidential position in 2031, noting that many prominent politicians from the East have been individually promised this role.

He criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for sidelining influential South-East politicians after their service, referencing Chris Ngige and others. Uzukwu also alleged that the Bola Tinubu-led government is planning to rig the 2027 elections, particularly in Anambra State, and emphasized that Obi must prepare to defend his mandate.
