Kwankwaso Responds to Atiku on Kano Votes for 2027

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, addressed claims made by Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, regarding a potential split in Kano State's votes for the upcoming 2027 elections. During an interview on Arise Television's prime time program, Kwankwaso stated that anyone expressing concern about a split in the Kano vote is not patient.

He indicated that the outcome of the next year's general elections would clarify the situation. Additionally, Kwankwaso discussed his decision to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and mentioned that co-aspirant Peter Obi also departed due to unresolved internal issues affecting the ADC's ability to field candidates in future elections.

He noted that these issues are challenging to resolve and require flexible strategies for political decisions.
