APC Adopts Direct Primary for 2027 Presidential Ticket

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially adopted a direct primary method for selecting its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections. This decision was announced by the party's National Working Committee (NWC).

APC members across the country are expected to vote directly for their preferred presidential candidate. President Bola Tinubu is seeking a second term in office and has formally submitted his nomination form at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

The submission was made on his behalf by Vice President Kashim Shettima. Additionally, Jame Falek, a member of the House of Representatives, had previously picked up a nomination form on behalf of President Tinubu.

Businessman Osifo Stanlei has also confirmed his intent to contest for the APC presidential ticket, indicating a potential internal contest against the incumbent president.
