APC Chieftain Zaki Advocates for Yobe South Leadership

Alhaji Yusuf Zaki, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, has called for support from party stakeholders for Senator Ibrahim Bomai to emerge as the next governor in the 2027 elections. Zaki insists that Yobe South should produce the next leader, highlighting the historical context where past governors have come from Yobe East.

He pointed out that the current governor, Mai Mala Buni, is from Yobe East, and emphasized the need for a power shift to ensure balance among the senatorial zones. Zaki praised Senator Bomai's leadership qualities, educational background, and commitment to public service, noting his efforts in improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education in the region.

He described Bomai as a unifying figure capable of bridging political and social divides in the state. Zaki stressed the importance of unity within the APC to maintain its hold on Yobe State as political activities ramp up ahead of the 2027 elections.
