APC Endorses Baba Malam Wali for Yobe Governorship 2027

The APC group has officially endorsed Baba Malam Wali, the current Secretary to the Yobe State Government, for the 2027 governorship election in Yobe State. The group describes Wali as a suitable candidate capable of leading the state into a new era of inclusive development.

His distinguished record in public service and extensive experience in the state civil service, including key positions such as Permanent Secretary in various ministries, were highlighted as unique qualifications to address the development challenges facing Yobe State. Wali's tenure as Secretary to the State Government began on July 13, 2015, and he was confirmed as a substantive Secretary on May 29, 2019, under former Governor Ibrahim Geidam, with his reappointment occurring on July 17, 2019.
