APC Clears Yakubu Ajaka for Kogi East Senate Race 2027

Yakubu Ajaka has successfully been screened by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to run for the Kogi East Senate seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The screening was conducted by a committee chaired by Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State.

Ajaka, who has a strong grassroots influence across the nine local government areas of Kogi East, called for reconciliation, peace, and unity among the people of the region. He stressed the importance of sustainable development and urged political leaders to prioritize collective goals over personal interests.

Ajaka aims to represent the true needs of ordinary citizens and plans to leverage his political connections to attract federal presence and investment in Kogi East. He also pledged to continue supporting families affected by the 2023 governorship elections and called on APC members in Kogi State to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as a stabilizing force for Nigeria's economy and political landscape.
