APC, PDP, ADC Miss INEC Candidate Upload Deadline

All major political parties in Nigeria, including the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), did not meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s original deadline of July 11 for uploading candidates for the 2027 general election. Initially, the APC claimed it had fully complied with the deadline, with National Chairman Prof.

Nentawe Yilwatda congratulating candidates and members for a 100% upload of their candidates. However, multiple INEC sources revealed that over 70% of APC candidates had not been uploaded by the original deadline, leading to an extension to July 14.

APC spokesman Felix Morka attributed the extension to opposition parties' mismanagement of their nomination processes, while accusing them of hypocrisy for requesting additional time after alleging APC's control over INEC.
