APC Endorses Dapo Abiodun for Ogun East Senate Seat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to endorse Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 elections, effectively replacing Gbenga Daniel. This decision was reached during a large political meeting held at the Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu Ode, which brought together party leaders and grassroots representatives from across the senatorial district.

According to a release from the governor's media office, the meeting saw wide participation from key party figures, including members of the governor's advisory council, former and current local government chairmen, councillors, and youth representatives. The party leaders expressed confidence in Governor Abiodun's ability to represent Ogun East effectively in the National Assembly.

Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, noted that the governor's record in office and his role in maintaining unity within the party were major reasons behind the decision to support his candidacy for the Senate seat.
